This is a starter recipe with Paneer, cut and chopped into small cubes, sauteed in chili garlic, and soy sauce. Very easy and yummy recipe. This has a strong spicy flavor. Goes great specially with fried rice and noodles. Check out the very easy ingredients below ~
Ingredients required to prepare Paneer starter recipe ~
- Oil 1/4 cup Paneer cut into small pieces
- 2 cups Onion 1 large and one medium (adjust according to the requirements)
- Garlic cloves 8 to 10 finely chopped
- Black peppercorns 1/2 teaspoon
- Spring onions 4 tablespoons (total) Tomato sauce
- 1/3 cup Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon
- 3 to 4 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of chili sauce
- 2 teaspoons of sugar 1 teaspoon of salt

Into wok or frying pan heat 1/4 cup of oil. Into it add finely chopped garlic cloves and sauté until slightly browned. Then add few black pepper corns and sauté. Immediately add big cut pieces of onions and sauté along with the garlic and peppers until turns translucent and the rawness disappears. Add some chopped spring onions and stir to sauté. Then add red chili powder, cumin powder and quickly mix to sauté. Add 1/3 cup of tomato sauce, and give it a mix. Immediately add 3 to 4 tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce and some chili sauce and mix. Add some sugar and salt to taste. Cook these for sometime in slow flame.
Once the sauces starts to bubble add the small cut cubes of paneer into it and mix to sauté. Mix paneer nicely with the spices and sauces and continue to cook for about 2 to 3 minutes. At the end add some onion cut into big pieces. Mix well, and cook until the onions turns translucent. Make sure you do not cook the onions too much to retain its crunch.
