Sardine is a wild-caught sea fish canned and sealed, completely dipped in olive oil, and is a smooth, shiny silver-skinned fish. These are soft taste buttery, and are really tasty.   • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Garlic cloves 5 to 6 finely chopped
  • Onion large 1 finely chopped
  • Sprinkle some black pepper powder
  • Add salt as per taste
  • Some paprika
  • Medium tomato 🍅 finely chopped.

Heat up 1/4 cup of oil into a frying pan. Add chopped garlic cloves and saute them few seconds. As soon as the rawness of the garlic dissapears add chopped onions and mix to saute. Fry the onions until translucent in color then add the spices like red chili powder, some salt to taste and paprika. Continue to saute until browned. Then immediately add chopped tomatoes and stir to mix.

Before the tomatoes go mushy and soft put the fish pieces one by one on top of the tomatoes. Gently stir around the spices with the help of a spoon or spatula. Cook few minutes. Turn to the other side with the help of a tong carefully to avoid breaking, as these fishes are too soft to handle. But it is still okay as there woiuld not be any difference in the taste. These goes great with steamed rice and could be prepared quickly anytime.

Before tomatoes go mushy add sardines (fish) one by one carefully with the help of the fork so that they doent break as these are too soft and breaks easily.

Let these cook and simmer in slow flame for a few minutes. Stir the spices around carefully so that they don’t stick to the bottom of the pan and are nicely cooked.

Carefully hold it with a tong and turn to the other side to cook

Then cover and cook 12 to 15 minutes. Open and check in between. Turn again if required.

Once you see the spices start to leave oil and look good you are done:)
