Prawns 65 is a starter recipe. Spicy and restaurant-style cooked homemade. The prawns are being coated and deep-fried until light and nicely turns golden brown in color. Then these are being sautéed in the special sauce which is specially prepared for shrimp 65. Turns slightly saucy and glossy simply mouthwatering dish. Ingredients required to prepare Prawns 65

For Coating the prawns we need

  • Prawns used large sized 30 pieces
  • All-purpose flour 3 and 1/2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch 3 tablespoons
  • Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger paste 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  • 1 large egg
  • Soy sauce 3 teaspoons (less sodium)
  • Sprinkle some salt as required
  • Coriander leaves chopped 2 to 3 tablespoons
  • Half of the lemon 🍋 juice squeezed

Sauce Ingredients for preparing prawns 65

  • The oil used to fry the prawns 3 tablespoons
  • Green chili chopped 1
  • 4 garlic cloves thinly sliced
  • Black pepper crushed 1/2 teaspoon
  • Spring onions white part thinly sliced 2 tablespoons
  • Spring onions green part 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce 3 tablespoons
  • Tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch slurry 3 tablespoons
  • Some water to adjust the consistency

Total cook time

  • For coating and frying 20 minutes
  • Sauce prep time 15 minutes
  • Total time required 35 minutes approximately

Step by step method to prepare Prawns 65 along with the images below

Coating the prawns

Into a bowl take 3 and 1/2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, red chili 🌶 powder 1 teaspoon, cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon, coriander powder 1/4 teaspoon, ginger paste 1 teaspoon, garlic paste 1 teaspoon,

Add Sesame seeds black 1/2 teaspoon into it

Crack 1 large sized egg into it

Add soy sauce 3 tablespoons (Less sodium sauce is being used)

Mix all these ingredients to prepare a lump free batter for coating the prawns

The batter gets medium thick consistency

Now add coriander leaves 2- 3 tablespoons chopped and sneeze out 1/2 of the lemon juice into it and mix

Add Prawns 30 large sized clean and washed

Mix the prawns nicely with the batter using hands

Frying the Prawns

Use sufficient oil for deep frying

Once the oil gets hot, lower the heat and drop the coated prawns one by one into the oil

Once nicely turns golden brown take these out and keep aside

Preparing the Sauce

Into a wok or frying pan add 2 to 3 tablespoons of oil that is being used for frying the coated prawns

Add chopped green chili one or as required

Add garlic cloves thinly sliced 4

Spring onions the white portion cut or sliced into stripes

Stir and fry in medium high flame until slightly turns golden brown in color and the raw aroma disappears

Now add spring onions chopped 2 tablespoons and give it a quick stir

Add black pepper crushed 1/2 teaspoon

Pour soy sauce 2 tablespoons

Immediately add tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons

Give it a quick mix

Then add cornstarch slurry 3 tablespoons and mix (To prepare cornstarch slurry you need 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and 3 to 4 tablespoons of water and mix)

Then add little water to adjust the consistency

Once mixed the mixture turns saucy

At this point immediately add the fried prawns and mix

Quickly stir and mix the sauce and the fried prawns

Quickly serve and enjoy hot
