Rose cake is made with very few ingredients though simply delicious I must say. Perfect lockdown recipe. It could be a super cake anyone can make quickly within no time. You just need white breads, whipping cream and Rose syrup, that is Rooh-Afza a tasty summer drink made using Rose 🌹 petals.

Ingredients you need to make Rose cake are as follows:

  • White bread Slices 18
  • Rose syrup 1/3 cup and 4 tablespoons or as required.
  • Whipped cream for covering the cake around 2 to 3 cups
  • Water
  • For Light Pink and dark pink colored frosting you need whipped cream around 2 cups.
  • You need a cake board or a flat plate for preparing the cake

Steps to follow to prepare Rose cake:

Cut and trim 18 white bread slices and keep aside.

Use a cake board or a flat plate where you can prepare the cake.

Spread some whipped cream on the board so that the bread slices sticks to the board making it easier and do not move while you do the frosting.

Place the bread slices into two rows using 3 bread slices each parallel to each other. Similarly place breads on top of these breads. Repeat uptil 3 layers.

Use Rose syrup and spread nicely on the bread. Then brush it up with some water to keep the cake moist. I have used around 3/4 cup and 4 tablespoons of Rose syrup total for the layers and some extra for dripping on the sides.

( Rooh Afza summer drink ) . You may add or use little more or less as per your taste. As this syrup is already too sweet I brushed it up carefully to avoid too strong sweetness into my cake. For keeping it moist i used just plain water and it turned out great.

Once done brushing up with Rose 🌹 syrup and water, spread whipped cream on the bread. Then again place bread slices on top followed by Rose syrup and water and then the cream. Place 3 layers repeatedly putting up the layers with Rose syrup, water and cream and finally covering up the whole cake with a thick layer of cream. While you do this pop up the cake and the whipped cream into the refrigerator for sometime if required to keep the texture firm which is very important while giving the cake a final look. It takes a little time and patience but the outcome is really great and so much fun.

Piping or frosting the cake:

For piping the cake you need piping bag, nozzle for designing, and red or pink food color. If you a are whipping fresh cream at home then make sure to preapare it earlier before you prepare the cake. Refrigerate the whipped cream for few hours before you start decorating your cake.

For this recipe i have used whipped cream around 2 cups. Into the cream added 1/2 teaspoon of Rose Syrup and 3 to 4 drops of red food color to make it light pink. You may also add direct pink food color if you have. I have included two shades into the cake light pink and dark pink for the dots. As soon as i have done piping the flowers and the edges/sides of the cake with light pink color i simply added few more drops of red color into the leftover cream to make it little darker pink shade for the dots. Then mixed it nicely and filled it into the piping bag. I did the piping using a ziplog bag then simply choose a nozzle pattern that i wanted to. Piping bag:

Simply cut the zip log bag at the corner and fit in the nozzle inside. For easy filling place the zip log bag into a glass and fill in the cream. It becomes so much easier. Twist and turn at the top and hold it tight whern you Squeeze out the cream for designing your cake.

Piping with rose syrup:

The same way fill in some rose syrup into a piping bag and use a dripping nozzle or you may simply make a very small cut at one corner of the piping bag and fill the syrup for dripping out.

Finally decorate the way you want! and see the magic. It is so much fun believe me. Below are the few images that i took while i designed my cake.

Make sure to design the corners of the cake first and then fill in the centers.
