5) Gently place the fish pieces in the hot oil, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until each side is golden brown; turn and cook for another 5 minutes, or until it is slightly browned. Remove the mahi-mahi fillet from the skillet, allowing any excess oil to pour back into the pan.
