Step-by-Step directions to prepare

In this recipe, I am going to share how to prepare an Easy and tasty cabbage breakfast recipe made with chickpea flour. These are soft and fluffy Cabbage Pancakes. A must-try recipe. A non-vegetarian recipe that is so easy and fulfilling and healthy too. Prepare the batter and keep refrigerated untouched and clean. Use anytime and prepare delicious pancakes made out of freshly shredded cabbage, eggs, chickpea flour onions, and mixed with other ingredients.

To prepare this I am using washed and cleaned, half of a medium-sized cabbage. Shredding up in thin slices. Also some I am chopping into small pieces. As you see I have shredded all of these. Now next, I am going to chop a bunch of cilantro because this gives a nice flavor to the recipe that I personally like and recommend adding.

Keep these aside and into a large mixing bowl take 3/4 cup of chickpea flour. Into it then add red chili powder, salt, and garlic powder, In case you don’t have garlic powder then add some freshly grated garlic, and some black peppercorns freshly crushed. 1/2 a teaspoon of cumin seeds. And give these dry ingredients a nice mix.

Next crack two large eggs, beat these lightly, and pour and mix with the dry ingredients.

Along with these add some water and mix to prepare a medium thick batter. The total water that I have used is little more than a 1/2 cup. Make sure to add water as required.

Now I am adding the cabbage along with 1 large thinly sliced onion. Mix well and add all the cabbage and the onions. Add chopped cilantro and mix. Once mixed leave the mixture like that for about 5 minutes.

At this point I see that the cabbage has released some water which makes the base a little thinner, I am sprinkling some extra chickpea flour into it. Mixing it with hands nicely and now it looks perfect to be cooked like a pancake.

Preparing Pancakes

Preferably into a nonstick frying pan heat up a tablespoon of oil and scoop out some batter, spread on it. Keep the flame low and continue to cook.

While you cook this, drizzle some oil through the sides if required. After a few minutes of cooking turn and flip the cabbage pancakes to cook on the other sides.

Cook each side nicely for at least 5 to 7 minutes on slow to medium flame. Or until you see these nicely turned golden brown in color and smell cooked.

Similarly, cook all the pancakes and enjoy these hot with some of your favorite sauces.
