Leftover Rice recipe is just so simple and tastes awesome. This is prepared using leftover rice which is being refrigerated overnight and is not sticky. For this recipe, not sticky rice is better to use for perfect result. The 3 main ingredients that are used are cabbage 🥬 roughly chopped, a bowl of leftover cold rice 🍚 , and 2 large-sized eggs. Other ingredients are green chili sauce, red chili sauce, soy sauce. Few Garlic cloves, green chilies, spring onions, and some coriander leaves, spices are black pepper powder, salt 🧂 , and a little bit of sugar. Total Cook time is 30 minutes approximately

This is a quick stir-fried rice, Indo Chinese style prep. But the good thing about this recipe is you may skip or adjust the ingredients and the spices according to your preferences. And the key ingredients are cabbage, rice and 2 eggs. These 3 main ingredients are being stir and fried in some oil or butter along with some spices and then mixed with the sauces. Cooked in medium to high flame and could be very quickly prepared.

Ingredients required to prepare leftover fried rice recipe are

1 bowl of cooked leftover rice 🍚 ( Cold) (Nonsticky)
1 bowl of roughly chopped cabbage
2 large eggs
Butter 2 tablespoons
Garlic thinly chopped 4 to 5 cloves
Green chili chopped 1
Spring onions 2 tablespoons
Coriander leaves 2 tablespoons (optional)
Soy sauce 1 tablespoon
Sriracha hot sauce or any red chili sauce as required
Green chili sauce 1 tablespoon
Salt as required
Sugar 1/2 teaspoon

Step by step method along with the images shown below

Heat a wok or frying pan and Butter 2 tablespoons

Green chili chopped 1 or as required

Thinly chopped garlic cloves 4 and quick stir and cook until the garlic turns slightly golden brown

Then Break two large eggs

Stir and fry the eggs for a while and add spring onions chopped 2 tablespoons

Cilantro chopped 2 tablespoons

Stir and fry 2 minutes

Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon and give it a quick mix

Add roughly chopped cabbage 🥬 1 bowl

Stir fry the cabbage and the eggs in medium to high flame 3 to 4 minutes

Add green chili sauce 1 tablespoon

Some sir Accha sauce or any red chili sauce as required

Give it a quick mix

Add a bowl of cooked leftover rice ( use cold and Jon sticky rice for better results)

Continuously stir and cook 7 to 8 minutes or until the rice is well fried .

Note: Keeping the flame medium to high continuously stir and fry the rice

Cook

At the end add soy sauce 1 tablespoon

Finally sprinkle some salt

Sprinkle some sugar

Give it a nice mix

Transfer into a bowl

Cover the bowl with the serving plate

Flip and turn the bowl along with the serving plate upside down

And here you go…. All set to enjoy

Decorate with some sauce on the top 🙂 and enjoy
