- Oil 2 tablespoons
- Thinly sliced ginger 1 teaspoon
- Spring onions 1/4 cup
- Cabbage 🥬 chopped 1 cup
- Prawns 🍤 35 pieces medium
- Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Pepper powder as required
- More cabbage 🥬 1/2 cup chopped
- Bell pepper 🫑 1 medium chopped
- Broccoli 🥦 cut into smaller pieces 1 cup
- Rice 🍚 vinegar 2 tablespoons
- Teriyaki sauce 1 cup or as required

Simply clean and peel the prawns 🍤 and wash under running water. Keep aside and drain out the water. Stir-frying these with veggies is your choice. You may choose any veggies that you like or you may simply skip that. Just make sure not to overcook the veggies in case you add. To keep in the crunchy bites what makes this dish special. Slightly fried and raw veggies cooked with fully cooked prawns go perfect.
Into some oil sauté some thinly sliced ginger and then add some spring onions and chopped cabbage 🥬. Stir these for few seconds and then add the prawns 🍤 along with some sprinkles of salt, red chili 🌶 powder, and black pepper powder. Quickly Sauté few minutes into an open pan then cover and cook in low to medium flame for few minutes or until the prawns are cooked. Open the lid and stir the prawns.
Into it then add the veggies that you like. For this preparation, i choose to add some chopped bell peppers, broccoli 🥦 and some more chopped cabbage 🥬. Stir fry these for few minutes on low flame. Sprinkle some salt and pepper at this point if required. Drizzle teriyaki sauce slowly into it and start to mix. Add 2 teaspoons of rice vinegar into it and mix. Let these simmer and cook for few minutes into the sauce or until it gets thick and glossy and it’s all done ✅. So quick and tasty. Enjoy this hot.
Step by Step Directions to prepare Prawns/Shrimps in Teriyaki Sauce.
- Peel the skin from the prawns and wash them
- Into 2 tablespoons of oil fry some thinly sliced ginger, and 1/4 cup of chopped spring onions, Sauté for few seconds
- Add chopped cabbage 🥬 1 cup into it and sauté few seconds
- Add the prawns 🍤.
- Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, salt 🧂, and black pepper powder
- Quickly mix and sauté the prawns for few seconds.
- Cover and cook in low to medium flame until the shrimps are done ✅
- Open the lid and give it a stir.
- Add chopped broccoli 🥦 1 cup and one medium ☝️ bell pepper chopped into it and stir fry few minutes.
- Add 1/2 cup of chopped cabbage 🥬 and sauté
- Drizzle teriyaki sauce slowly into it and start to mix as required
- Add 2 tablespoons of rice 🍚 vinegar into it and mix
- Cook in low to medium flame for few minutes or until these looks thick and Glossy. Serve and enjoy Hot.
Points to remember ~
- Do not over cook the veggies
- You can replace rice 🍚 vinegar with distilled vinegar or apple cider 🍺 vinegar
