Ingredients required:
- Ripe banana 🍌 1
- Jaggery powder 1/2 cup
- Whole wheat 🌾 flour 1 cup
- Sesame seeds 2 tablespoons
- Ghee (clarified butter) 1/4 teaspoon
- Milk 1/2 cup + few more tablespoons or as required
- Oil for deep frying
Directions to prepare ripe banana fritters.
Smash one ripe banana using a fork until smoothens. Into it then add jaggery powder 1/2 cup, add whole wheat flour 1 cup gradually into it, and mix in by pouring around 1/2 cup + few more tablespoons of milk into it with a touch of 1/4 teaspoon of ghee (clarified butter) into it and mix until the mixture forms a thick consistency easy to drop into the hot oil one by one using a spoon. Well into the mixture then add 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds and give it a final mix. The thick batter is all set to be deep-fried.
Simply drop the batter into the hot oil one by one with the help of two spoons which would be easier and the dough batter will not stick to the hands.
Stir and deep fry these until turn nicely darker golden brown in color. These should be cooked in low to medium flame 🔥 for few minutes. These turn out really crisp and crunchy outside and the inside stays soft. These should be enjoyed hot I must say:)
