If you use WordPress.com, you won’t be able to install plugins

Users frequently claim that they can’t find the plugins menu on their WordPress dashboard. It’s due to the fact that you’re using WordPress.com, which has its own set of limitations.

If you don’t upgrade to their business plan, you won’t be able to install plugins on WordPress.com. On the other hand, on a self-hosted WordPress.org website, you can install any plugin you want straight away

The easiest way of installing a WordPress plugin is to use the plugin search option. The only downside of this option is that a plugin must be in the WordPress plugin directory which is limited to only free plugins.

First thing you need to visit the Plugins » Add New page inside your WordPress admin area.

You’ll see a screen similar to the one seen in the screenshot. Type the plugin’s name or the feature you’re looking for to find it. Following that, you’ll see a number of listings, such as the one below:

You can select the plugin that is most appropriate for you. We’ll click the ‘Install Now’ option next to it because we were seeking for WPForms, which is the greatest WordPress contact form plugin.

WordPress will now automatically download and install the plugin. After that, the ‘Install Now’ button will be replaced with the ‘Activate’ button.

You can install a WordPress plugin on your site, but it won’t work unless you activate it. So go ahead and activate that plugin on your WordPress site by clicking the activate button.

That’s it; you’ve just finished installing your WordPress plugin you need.

Now go back to your dashboard then plugins and you should be able to find the installed and activated plugins there.
