Chili Garlic Shrimp and Mushrooms

Recipe: Chili Garlic Shrimp and Mushrooms:

This is a spicy and tasty dish made with shrimp and mushrooms mixed with some spices and sauces. The hot sizzling saucy shrimp and mushrooms cooked with spices and taste simply delicious. This shrimp and mushroom sauce is luscious, juicy, and just succulent. Goes great especially on pasta, and steamed rice.

Ingredients required to prepare Chili Garlic Shrimp and Mushrooms.

  • Oil 3 tablespoons
  • Shrimp medium-sized 22 pieces
  • Mushrooms 4 cups
  • Onions chopped 3/4 cup
  • Garlic finely chopped 1/3 cup
  • Ginger paste 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt 1 and 1/2 teaspoons or as per taste
  • Pepper powder 2 teaspoons
  • Chili flakes 2 teaspoons
  • Paprika 2 teaspoons
  • Cornstarch 1 tablespoon
  • Tomato ketchup 1 tablespoon
  • Spring onions 4 tablespoons
  • Coriander leaves 4 tablespoons
  • Water 1/2 cup

Procedure to prepare:

Into a thick bottomed pan or WOK heat oil 3 tablespoons. Add chopped onions 3/4 cup and chopped garlic 1/3 cup. Saute onions and garlic until light golden in color.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of ginger paste into it and mix. Add medium-sized shrimp, 22 pieces, and saute them too along with onions and garlic for 4 to 5 minutes.

Sprinkle some salt as per taste, black pepper powder 1 teaspoon, green chili or red chili powder 1 teaspoon, paprika 2 teaspoons and mix.

Add mushrooms 4 cups clean and cut into small pieces. Mix the mushrooms nicely with the spices and cook open for 5 minutes. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of pepper powder and some salt and give it a mix. Add coriander leaves 1 tablespoon, spring onions 1 tablespoon and cornflour 1 tablespoon and mix.

Tomato ketchup 1 tablespoon, soy sauce 1 tablespoon and mix. Then and 1/2 cup of water. Cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes or until done.

Serving tips:

Garnish with some coriander leaves and spring onions. Serve hot with steamed rice or with spaghetti or pasta. Tastes simply awesome.
