Few things to remember before starting with this recipe and are that the butter and the cream cheese should be at room temperature, the texture should be medium soft for easy mixing. And also if using salted butter then avoid adding extra salt in the recipe.
Make sure that you are using full-fat brick cream cheese, not low fat or spreadable cream cheese (which is usually sold in a tub rather than in brick form)

Step by step method to prepare buttercream cheese frosting along with images below
We need 2/3 cup (one stick I.e 4 oz) of butter which should be at room temperature for easy mixing. The texture of the butter should not be too flowy or too hard. It should be soft enough to be easily beaten with the electric hand beater or by just using a simple hand beater.
Transfer the softened butter (unsalted ) into a bowl
Beat for 1 minute
Collect the butter from all the sides and get them at the center then start to beat again. This way it gets lighter and fluffier in texture.
The image shown how smooth and soft it looks like after being beaten for about a minute
Add cream cheese 1 cup
Beat to mix
Add 3/4 cup of powdered sugar
Add sugar in portions and mix
In between also add vanilla sugar 1 pouch which is around 3 teaspoons or you may add vanilla extract 3 teaspoons
Adding rest of the powdered sugar and mixed
Beat 2 to 5 minutes
Pour in 6 teaspoons of whipping cream gradually into it and keep mixing until you see the texture is smooth and stiff peaks. You may also stop beating as soon as you feel the consistency is right for you. There is no exact time for it. It should be beaten enough until smooth, light and fluffy.
Refrigerate until used.
