About: Steamed Sponge cake made with condensed milk and without oven. This is a No-bake cake. Very few ingredients required to prepare this delicious cake at home. Very spongy, soft, and fluffy in texture. Lets quickly go through the recipe.

This cake is soft, spongy and fluffy in texture. Tastes delicious.
Ingredients required to prepare Steamed Sponge Cake are as follows:
- Egg 1 (large size)
- Condensed Milk 1 cup
- Melted butter 3 tablespoons
- Vanilla essence 1/2 teaspoon
- All-Purpose flour 1 and a 1/2 cups
- Powdered sugar 1/2 cup
- Baking powder 1 and a 1/2 teaspoons
Directions to prepare Steamed Sponge Cake are as follows:
Into a bowl crack one egg (large size). Beat the egg. Add 1 cup of condensed milk and vanilla essence into it and mix.
Into another bowl sift all-purpose flour 1 and a 1/2 cups, powdered sugar 1/2 cup and baking powder 1 and a 1/2 teaspoons. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Add dry ingredients slowly into the wet mixture and mix until it makes a smooth batter.
Grease a cake pan with little butter in the center and stick a parchment paper. Apply butter all over the pan.
Pour the cake batter.
Tap the cake pan few times to remove any air bubbles trap inside.
For Steaming:
Use a large container to boil some water. Make a stand using a bowl or a plate. Place the cake pan inside and cover and steam for 40 minutes.
Uncover after 40 minutes and insert a stick or a knife to check if it is cooked completely from inside or not? If the stick comes out clean then it means that the cake is well cooked and is ready to be enjoyed.
Take it out from the heat.
After 5 minutes scrape the sides of the cake pan while the cake is still warm and turn upside down to take it out from the cake pan.
Place it on a cooling rack and allow to cool completely.
Turn to the other side. Cut into pieces and enjoy.

- Time for steaming: 40 minutes
