Chocolate Cake without sugar along with no sugar Ganache is simply delicious. This is so easy and quick to prepare. The chocolate cake base is natural sweet that comes from the bananas and without using any flour to it this cake is so light and fluffy. I could not have believed it until I have tried this I must say. One thing is sure that this is a healthy chocolate cake that anyone can enjoy without feeling guilty:) The Ganache sweetness comes from the jaggery which tastes perfect and goes well with this cake base.

Ingredients required to prepare sugar-free cake base in 5 minutes

  • For the cake sugar-free cake base:
  • 2 very ripe bananas 🍌
  • 2 large eggs
  • Cocoa powder 6 teaspoons
  • Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Seedless raisins 2 tablespoons
  • For the sugar-free chocolate ganache
  • 3/4 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 4 teaspoons of cocoa powder
  • 8 teaspoons of jaggery powder
  • Salted butter 1 tablespoon

Microwave for 5 minutes

Directions to prepare

To prepare 5 minute cake base we need 2 very riped bananas. Slice up the soft bananas and transfer into a grinder or mixing jar 🏺. Into it then add 2 large eggs, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 6 teaspoons of cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of seedless raisins. Grind these to form a smooth and soft paste. Transfer into a microwave safe container and cook for 5 minutes. Once done allow it to cool slightly and then scrape to the sides to de mold the cake. The soft and natural sweet, no sugar chocolate base cake is ready. This cake is so soft and fluffy inside. I couldn’t believe until I have tried this.

Note: Microwave cooking time depends on the thickness of the cake which again depends on the size of the container used. You simply need to cook this according to the container you are using. The time might be slightly different. Say around 5-8 minutes. Hope this helps.

To prepare Ganache we need 3/4 cup of heavy whipping cream. Into it add 4 teaspoons of cocoa powder, 8 teaspoons of good quality jaggery powder, and salted butter 1 tablespoon. If using unsalted butter you may add a pinch of salt to it to balance the flavor. Mix these ingredients using a hand beater and cook in low to medium flame for 5 minutes or until the texture slightly thickens. Once done let this cool sometime and then strain it out, to get a smooth and silky chocolate ganache.

Finally when both the cake and the ganache have been cooled. Pour the ganache on top of your cake base and enjoy ☺️

Take two very riped bananas

Slice them

I’m using a chopper to mix and mash them. You may use a grinder as convenience.

2 large eggs

Add into the mixer

Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon

Cocoa powder 6 teaspoons

Seeds less raisins 2 tablespoons

Grind and make a smooth soft paste

Transfer into a microwave safe container

Microwave for 5 minutes. Microwave cooking time depends on the thickness of the cake which again depends on the size of the container. You simply need to cook this according to the container you are using. The time might be slightly different. Say around 5-8 minutes. Hope this helps.

Take it out from the microwave immediately once done.

Preparing Chocolate Ganache without sugar.

To prepare chocolate ganache without sugar we need 3/4 cup of heavy whipping cream

Into it add 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder

8 teaspoons of jaggery. Good quality jaggery powder

1 tablespoon of butter

Mix it a quick mix

Cook this mixture for 5 minutes by stirring and cooking method.

Cook in low to medium flame and mix all the ingredients nicely. When the consistency gets slightly thicker turn off the flame 🔥

Allow it to cool

Strain it out to get a clean and smooth textured ganache

De-mold the cake

Once slightly cold scrape to the sides and take it out

The cake feels light soft and fluffy on pressing it

Pour the prepared ganache on top of the cake
