Milky coconut sweet is a famous dessert in many places in India widely consumed and liked by people’s. This is a traditional sweet that has been made since decades in different ways in different countries Simply excited to share the way I make it.

1/2 cup of milk powder
-
1/4 cup of sugar

1 tbs of clarified butter i.e ghee
-
1/4 cup of cashew paste

-
Grind 2 cups of shredded coconut by putting them into a grinder by using milk as required. Grind it till it changes to smooth and soft paste.
-
Into a pan add 1 cup of milk. In low flame let it warm.
-
Add 1/2 cup of milk powder into the warm milk. Stir and add gradually until it gets dissolved completely.
-
keep mixing in low flame.
-
Add coconut paste into it and stir. Continuous stirring is important to avoid burning. Note: The entire process is done in low flame.
-
After about a minute add 1/4 cup of sugar and keep stirring. Let it cook until the texture of the mixture changes. It will start leaving the pan and become thick in consistency.
-
Once you see the texture has changed turn off the flame.
-
Immediately transfer it in another bowl to allow it to cool completely.
-
Garnish it with some cashews on top of the sweets or you may choose any other dry nuts for garnishing.
-
Into the bowl before transferring the mixture place baking sheet to avoid sticking.
-
Spread it nicely with the help of spoon or spatula or you may give it some other shape as you like.
-
Refrigerate for an hour or so and cut them into square pieces
-
Delicious sweets for any occasion is ready to serve.
-
Important: The good thing about this preparation is even if you have store it in the refrigerator for longer period of time it doesn’t get try. The texture remains same and tastes fresh.
