Kimchi Pancake. Country-style kimchi pancakes. Spicy and tasty recipe.

To prepare Country-style Kimchi pancakes we need fermented kimchi which I have used the store-bought ones. Chop the big chunks of kimchi into bite sizes. Then add thinly sliced onions 1 cup into it. Also, add spring onions chopped around 3 to 4 tablespoons and 1 green chili finely chopped. Sprinkle some salt and pepper as per taste and give these a mix. Gradually add All-purpose flour around 1/2 a cup. Use flour as required to adjust the consistency of the mixture according to the kimchi used.
Give these a mix. Into it then add 3 to 4 tablespoons of water and 1 teaspoon of sugar and mix, We need to prepare a thick consistency batter. At last to make it little more spicy add 1 teaspoon of sriracha sauce and mix. Leave the mixture for 5 minutes. Before shallow frying, make sure to give the batter a mix. Add 2 teaspoons of mustard oil into a non-stick pan and heat. Pour some batter rigfht in the center of the frying pan and spread the batter in the shape of a pancake using a spatula. Fry in low to medium flame for few minutes on both sides equally until turns slightly crisp and golden brown in color. Enjoy these kimchi pancakes hot as a breakfast or a quick snack.

  • 2 cups Kimchi- Country-style fresh fermented and chopped into bite sizes kimchi

  • Mustard oil as required, to shallow fry the pancakes
