Short Summary to prepare Coconut ladoos with jaggery ~
To prepare Coconut laddoos with gur i.e jaggery preferable use a thick bottomed pan or karahi. Warm-up some ghee (clarified butter) and add the shredded coconut keeping the flame at low. Saute sometime around a minute or two. You'll smell a nice aroma through it. Then at this point immediately add gur/jaggery into it and stir to mix well. Once mixed well cover and cook on slow flame for a few minutes.
Uncover in between and stir. Continue to cook until the mixture looks cooked and nice.
Allow the mixture to completely cool and then prepare ladoos.

  • 2 cups Freshly shredded coconut (fresh or frozen)
  • 2/3 cup Gur (Jaggery)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cardamom seeds
