Into wok or frying pan heat 1/4 cup of oil. Into it add finely chopped garlic cloves and sauté until slightly browned. Then add few black pepper corns and sauté. Immediately add big cut pieces of onions and sauté along with the garlic and peppers until turns translucent an the rawness disappears. Add some chopped spring onions and stir to sauté. Then add red chili powder, cumin powder and quickly mix to sauté. Add 1/3 cup of tomato paste, and give it a mix. Immediately add 3 to 4 tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce and some chili sauce and mix. Add some sugar and salt to taste. Cook these for sometime in low flame. Once the sauces starts to bubble add the small cut cubes of paneer into it and mix to sauté. Mix paneer nicely with the spices and sauces and continue to cook for about 2 to 3 minutes. At the end add some onion cut into big pieces. Mix well, and cook until the onions turns translucent. Make sure you do not cook the onions too much to retain its crunch. This gives a nice texture overall as a starter recipe. Stir and fry few minutes or until nicely cooked. At the end add some more chopped spring onions and enjoy.
