BEETROOT HALWA

Beetroot Halwa. Creamy and delicious

Sonali
Grate the beetroots using a grater and keep them aside. Heat up 2 teaspoons of ghee and sauté some sliced almonds and pistachios. Once these are being sautéed for some time add 2 tablespoons of ghee into the same pan keeping the flame at low. Immediately add the grated beetroots and continue to stir and cook 👩‍🍳
Stir and cook the beetroots in the ghee for 5-7 minutes or until slightly softens. Then add 2 cups of milk. 🥛 Let the milk starts to boil and simmer in low to medium flame then add Unsweetened Khoya 3 teaspoons into it and mix. Continue to cook until the milk has been reduced to half.
Once you see the milk has reduced beautifully and the mixture is thick, add sugar into it and mix. Cook it further until the milk has evaporated almost completely and a Halwa consistency reaches. At the end just add 2 teaspoons of cardamom powder and stir in. Garnish it with some dry nuts on the top and enjoy this creamy and delicious dessert made with beetroots within no time. A quick and easy Halwa anyone can try at home anytime. Healthy and tasty I must say. Find out more sweets and desserts recipe in this blog and enjoy making at home.
